Farmwork Abroad - The FAQ

No, Farmstays are generally unpaid.

Anyone who is at least 19 years old and physically fit can register for a Farmstay stay. You should also not have any allergies to animal hair, pollen, or grasses.

Depending on the country, the maximum length of stay varies. For example, the Farmstay program in Canada allows you to stay a maximum of 4 weeks.

The program fee consists of the placement fee and the accommodation costs on site. Farm accommodation and all meals are included.

Whether you need a special visa depends on the country and duration. If you are interested in a farm stay in Canada, you do not need a special visa, as long as you do not stay longer than 4 weeks.
