What is covered by the StudentsGoAbroad fee?
Basically, the program fee consists of 2 parts. On the one hand this is the registration fee of StudentsGoAbroad and on the other hand it is the program fee of our respective local partners.
Registration Fee (1) + Program Fee (2)
(1) What exactly does the registration fee pay for?
The registration fee goes toward the support you receive from StudentsGoAbroad staff before, during and after your travel abroad. In addition, it goes toward our program marketing efforts and expenses, administration, communication with the partner organizations, collective funding ideas, communication with the candidates. We also offer you platform providing detailed information on travels abroad.
We carefully maintain a trusting relationship with all of our partners, which in the end benefits all of our globetrotters.
(2) What exactly does the program fee pay for?
This portion of the fee pays all the services you receive from our partner abroad. They are responsible for organizing the specifics of your internship or volunteer project, which isn't as easy as it may sound. They have built up a network of contacts in their country, and every contact needs to be maintained on a regular basis. The local coordinator will present your resumé and motivational letter and be your representative. Upon your arrival, you will be passed on cultural knowledge from your coordinator, who will also accompany you on your first day with the project. Our partner is also in charge of monitoring the projects from time to time, to make sure everything runs smoothly, so that you enjoy your stay to the fullest. And if it so happens that you are confronted with challenges or emergencies, they will be the first ones there to help and support you.
Volunteer programs also include the following additional services:
- airport pickup
- accommodation during your program
- introduction and orientation
- 3 meals a day (depending on the project)
- 24/7 emergency contact
- donation to the programs (varies depending on country and project)
