An Inexpensive and Practical Roller Coaster Ride Around the City

Who would have thought that you don't even have to climb a mountain or even leave the city of Quito for the adventure in Ecuador? A bus ticket for the daily trip to the internship company is enough to fill your adrenaline barometer for the day. Because an important aspect of everyday internships in Ecuador is traffic: lots of cars, buses, and motorcycles that squeeze through the streets on their way to work. Not only does everyone want to be the first, but also the most beautiful! The bus drivers seem to have a very special relationship with their mobile stands and decorate their bus in a quirky manner and with care with glowing skulls next to statues of saints, rosaries and flower chains. An absolute eye-catcher and a new experience every day.

The same applies to long-distance buses. With these, you can not only explore Ecuador cheaply and quite comfortably, but also get an adventurous ride with a great view. Lean back and enjoy the adventure prospect program.

The Colonial Old Town of Quito

The historic city center Centro Historico was already declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. After an earthquake, the old town was reborn and received its old splendor. The old town can be explored particularly well on a Sunday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Because then there is a driving ban for cars and free movement for explorers on foot.

The Pyramids of "Cochasquí"

About 15 miles north of Quito are the 15 pyramids of "Cochasquí". These date back to around 1000 AD. and were probably built by the Quito-Caras. Even today, some shamans still hold rites and celebrations here.

Quitos Neustadt

Mariscal, just 20 minutes from the old town, is another world: Quito's new town. Trendy cafes, restaurants, bars, and clubs offer both national and international dishes and invite you to try them.
