Overview: marketing internship for a language school in Cape Town, South Africa

The professional language school offers English language programmes and tailor-made courses while embracing a socio-economic business model. English language education is experienced through the unique angle of culturally diverse opportunities. The English school provides students with a wider perspective relating to the culturally diverse world we live and work in, while being immersed in the city of Cape Town and its people.

The idea of combining English and Cultural Education was born of the growing need of people, still early in their careers, to learn and improve their English. One of the most effective ways to learn a language is to be immersed in the environments and cultures where it is spoken. Globalization is played out in the workplace: Emerging cultural differences need diversity awareness as a more defined social competence. The school provides for this niche by offering a language school that goes beyond mere standard methods of English teaching and learning. At this English school, students are presented with opportunities relating to the social and cultural world which broaden their horizons and assist them in gaining new perspectives, all the while helping them to improve their English competency. In this way, Cape Town partners our language learning approach and provides the cultural base for language learning opportunities. Students are guided and supported to gain knowledge through language about exactly what cultural diversity means.

Your coordinator in Cape Town

"My name is Jana Williams, I am originally from Germany, but living in South Africa for 8 1/2 years. Nearly 6 years of those I stayed in the mother city of Cape Town. I am now managing all internship and volunteer placements for Studentsgoabroad Cape Town. During my studies of Social Work I did internships abroad myself. I have been to London, India and even in Cape Town which was 12 years ago. While still living in Germany I started placing interns in Southern African countries and always enjoyed this activity. This activity is interesting, exciting, versatile and most of all positive, as a stay abroad always enlarges the personal horizon.
