About this position
Overview: Support the Bird Conservation by Volunteer Teaching in Bali, Indonesia
Established in 1999, the foundation was launched with a mission to give back to Bali’s local population by addressing nature conservation, education and healthcare needs. The first initiative was the Bali Starling Conservation Project when two pairs of this Critically Endangered species were brought home to Bali. Education has also been a fundamental tenet for the foundation. A short 10-week course has been conducted at local elementary schools in the area since 2014. A new program run at the Breeding and Release site, called Bali Starling Ambassadors commenced in early August 2016. The goal is to encourage local community awareness and participation in ensuring that the area is safe for indigenous birds to fly freely. What to expect
