This greatly improves the future prospects of these children! The children attend either primary school or secondary school and are aged between 7 and 18 years.

What to expect

The way how you structure the English lessons is up to you. It will be discussed with the local coordinator during the preparation. It’s highly appreciated when you bring your own ideas, materials and teaching methods to the Philippines. In this program the cultural exchanged plays an important role. The children at your school will be very interested in you, your family and your friends, so you should be willing to share your culture with them. The best way to do this is to bring pictures you can show to the children.

The teaching units and activities in the schools take place in the mornings and afternoons. In between, you will have time to get you lunch. In the late afternoon, you will prepare together with other voluntary teachers and the local coordinator the lessons for the following day.

  • bring some own materials (eraser, pens, games, English books…)
