On the island of Palawan, there are only a few opportunities to offer the children a good or even excellent school education and English lessons are hardly on the curriculum at school. This greatly improves the future prospects of these children! The children attend either primary school or secondary school and are aged between 7 and 18 years.
What to expect
Description: Teaching English in schools in Tigman, Palawan, Philippines
The way how you structure the English lessons is up to you. It will be discussed with the local coordinator during the preparation. It’s highly appreciated when you bring your own ideas, materials and teaching methods to the Philippines. In this program the cultural exchanged plays an important role. The children at your school will be very interested in you, your family and your friends, so you should be willing to share your culture with them. The best way to do this is to bring pictures you can show to the children.
